| The most easily
accessible glacier in the Kumaon
region, the Pindari glacier requires
little introduction. Situated
between the snow capped Nanda
Devi and Nanda Kot mountains,
the Glacier is at an altitude
of 3353 mts. The 45 Kms trek from
Saung to Pindari Glacier is filled
with natural beauty.The best season
is from April to June. The trek
commences from Saung. |
| Day 01 Mumbai
|
| Mumbai – Delhi Take the
Golden temple mail to Ghaziabad.
|
| Day 02 Delhi –
Ramnagar |
| Reach Ghaziabad at 20.15 hrs
and take the Ranikhet express
at 2323 hrs. Those Joining from
Delhi can Join today by taking
the Golden Temple mail from New
Delhi station at 7 pm or taking
the Ranikhet Express from Old
Delhi station at 10.30 pm. |
| DAY 03 Ramnagar –
Corbett National Park –
Saung |
| Reach Ramnagar station at 0500
hrs and board bus to Saung. Enroute
we go into the Corbett National
Park for a Tiger Safari. Reach
Saung by evening and trek up to
Loharket. Camp at Loharket |
| DAY 04 Camp Loharket
to Camp Dhakuri |
| Today we trek from Loharket
to Dhakuri. The trek is 11kms
and takes around 5 hours. Dhakuri
is at a height of 2680 mts. |
| DAY 05 Dhakuri to Khati |
| After breakfast leave for Khati.
It is an easy walk of 8 Kms. Khati
is at a height of 2210 mts |
| DAY 06 Khati to Phurkia |
| Today we trek from Khati to
Phurkia. It is a long walk of
18 Kms. We reach Phurkia by evening
and camp overnight. [3110 mts] |
| DAY 07
Phurkia – Pindari Glacier
|
| Today we visit
Zero point from where we can see
the magnificent Pindari Glacier.
Rest for some time and then start
back to Phurkia [8 Kms –
3353 mts] |
| Day 08 Phurkia to Dwali
|
| Trek back from
Phurkia to Dwali |
| Day 09 Dwali to Dhakuri |
| Trek to Dhakuri [18 Kms –
2621 mts] |
| Day 10 Dhakuri to Saung
|
| Trek from Dhakuri to Saung
[15 Kms] Arrive in the afternoon
well in time to take the bus to
Ranikhet. Reach Ranikhet and camp. |
| Day 11 Ranikhet - Nainital |
| After breakfast leave for Nainital.
Full day in Nainital. In the evening
board the Ranikhet express back
to Ghaziabad at 2040 hrs. |
| Day 12 Ghaziabad –
Mumbai/Baroda/Ahmedabad |
| Reach Ghaziabad in the morning
and take the Golden temple mail
back to Mumbai. Those going to
Delhi can get off at Old Delhi
Station today. |
| Day 13 Mumbai/Ahmedabad/Baroda

| Retrun to Mumbai/Ahmedabad/Baroda |
|

to register for this trek? |
Registration is simple.
Just fill up the registration form and
the declaration form and submit it to
our office along with the Cash / Cheque/D.D
for 50% of the amount.
The balance should be payable 15 days
prior to the date of departure. Alternatively
you can deposit the amount in our ICICI

| Minimum age 12 years.
Persons should be generally fit and
not suffering from any heart diseases.
Children below 12 years and accompanied
by parents are allowed. |
Required equipment and personal kit: |
Participants are advised
to carry heavy woolen clothingas it
is cold at the passes.
The following items are required,
Gloves, Torch, Plate/Mug, Spoon,
Water Bottle, Sunglasses, Woolen Slack,
Sweaters
Monkey Cap, Medicines, Electrol,
Wind Cheater, Haversack, Hunter shoes
Raincoat, Sport Shoes, Tiffin

class train or from
any place
in India having direct link to Delhi
All
meals Transportation
from Ramnagar to base camp and back
by local bus. All
trekking gear like sleeping bags, tents
etc. Haversack has to be brought by
the participants
themselves. |
